TREATMENT FAQ

How many sessions will I need?

While visible improvement can be seen after one session, a course of 3–6 treatments is recommended for optimal structural skin rejuvenation. Treatments are typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart depending on skin condition and goals.

Is the treatment painful?

A mild tingling or warming sensation may be experienced during microneedling. Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. Sensitivity levels vary depending on individual skin type.

Is there any downtime?

Mild redness, warmth or tightness may occur for 24–72 hours following treatment. Skin may feel slightly sensitive, similar to mild sun exposure. Makeup is usually advised to be avoided for 24 hours post-treatment.

When will I see results?

Skin often appears fresher and more radiant within a few days. Collagen stimulation continues over several weeks, meaning results progressively improve over time.

Can I combine this with other treatments?

Yes. These treatments can be combined within a tailored skin plan. During consultation, we will assess your skin and recommend the most effective protocol for your goals.

PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE

• Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 5–7 days prior
• Avoid excessive sun exposure or sunbeds 7 days before treatment
• Do not attend treatment with active infections, cold sores or inflamed skin
• Inform us of any medication, recent aesthetic procedures or medical conditions
• Avoid anti-inflammatory medication unless medically required

POST-TREATMENT ADVICE

• Avoid makeup for 24 hours
• Avoid heat treatments (sauna, steam, hot baths) for 48 hours
• Avoid intense exercise for 24–48 hours
• Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily
• Do not use active skincare ingredients for 5–7 days
• Keep skin hydrated with gentle, nourishing products

Mild redness, warmth or tightness is normal and should settle within a few days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Treatment may not be suitable if you have:

• Active skin infections or inflammation
• Active acne breakouts in treatment area
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding (depending on treatment protocol)
• Recent isotretinoin use (within 6 months)
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Autoimmune skin disorders
• Recent laser resurfacing or deep chemical peels
• History of keloid scarring
• Current antibiotic use (treatment must be postponed until the course is completed)
